Dear customers,
It’s with a very heavy heart that we’re announcing the closure of Cafe Allez! Belvoir Castle at the end of March.
It’ll soon be 3 years since we (nervously) opened our doors. We would absolutely love to be able to continue our journey at Belvoir, but there is now no opportunity for us to renew our lease.
Our team were informed last week and, like the true professionals they are, have vowed to fight on to the last day, delivering the customer service and quality that you deserve from Cafe Allez!. We have 8 weeks left to serve you in: we intend to make the most of every single day.
We’ve been truly blessed to have Belvoir Castle as our location and what other business would have given us the opportunity to:
- Reach out to fellow cyclists with our cycling routes, special cyclist offers and Summer evening rides / get-togethers.
- Design and launch our own walking routes to enable more folks to enjoy the beautiful Vale.
- Become a part of the community, with events such as our carol singing evening.
- Bring parkrun to the Vale of Belvoir, with the generous support of Belvoir Castle.
- Showcase and curate the best local produce, including from our friends across the road at Cherizena, Jorge Artisan Foods and The Country Victualler, not to mention Doughnotts, Thaymar, The Fruit Basket, Bloomsbury Bakery and, most of all, our mentors and true friends at 200 Degrees.
- Radically re-design our business to keep team and customers safe during the pandemic.
In short, it’s been an absolute blast and we’ll miss you all.
Please, don’t ask us about future plans for the site as we’ve not been informed at this stage.
As for Claire and I: there is no Plan B… but we have each other, we have a van with some dates in the diary and we have some great memories: memories of meeting so many of you, and of working with colleagues who make going to work an actual pleasure.
Hope to see some of you over the next few weeks but if we don’t have the chance – THANK YOU so much for your support, your friendship and your custom.
