Launching Allez! Bakes … Amazing Cakes For Coffee Shops, Cafes and Pubs…

HUGE news! We’re proud to announce the official launch of our sister company, Allez! Bakes.

Allez! Bakes is a dedicated commercial bakery based in Scalford, near Melton Mowbray. Our aim is to supply coffee shops, cafes and pubs with the kind of cakes they’d love to bake themselves, if only they had the time…

Initially we’ll be supplying coffee shops, cafes and pubs in the local area, with an ambition to offer a nationwide mail order delivery service in the future.

Cafe Allez!’s Claire has a passion for baking, and many of you will recall the fabulous cakes and bakes she and the team created for Cafe Allez! Belvoir Castle back in the day. The emphasis was – and remains – on generous portion sizes, top quality ingredients and mouth-watering taste. This is backed up by all of the allergens and ingredients information needed in today’s demanding market.

Allez! Bakes launches with a delicious range of cakes and cookies, including some vegan options and our incredible filled cookie sandwiches…

Registering as a customer and then ordering and paying couldn’t be simpler: visit https://allezbakes.uk/ .

Adventures! … with Tritax Big Box and Momentus Consulting Group

We hugely enjoyed our two recent events in association with our friends at Momentus Consulting Group: this one was to mark the construction of new units at Symmetry Park, Merseyside, with Tritax Big Box.

When folks have travelled a distance, perhaps with an unfeasibly early start, we think they deserve the finest coffees and the best breakfast available. We can make this happen pretty much anywhere! – with credit due to our fabulous local suppliers including 200 Degrees Coffee and Bloomsbury Bakery.

SCA Accreditation for Cafe Allez!’s Mark

It’s always worth pausing sometimes to invest some time and funds into training. We’d like to think our barista skills are pretty strong after 7 years in the industry, but when we found out that our coffee roasters, 200 Degrees, are now accredited to deliver SCA (Speciality Coffee Association) courses, Mark leapt at the chance.

He joined their first ever Barista Skills Foundation course at the barista training school above 200 Degrees’ flagship Nottingham store last week. This was a hands-on and full-on day, led by two passionate and talented coffee professionals: Alex Spampinato and Alex Slater. Qualification followed after a practical and written exam, with a few new nuggets of knowledge gained along the way!

We’d highly recommend this course for budding and even highly experienced baristas… and Mark will be watching for the launch of the Intermediate and Advanced classes…

Proud To Renew Our 5* ‘Scores On The Doors’

We proudly retained our 5* ‘scores on the doors’ food hygiene & safety rating after our latest inspection. This is the highest score possible and it matters greatly to us.

Keeping our customers safe and healthy is our top priority … as it should be for every single hospitality business. The scores for any establishment you care to visit (or not!!) can be found online at ratings.food.gov.uk .

Company Van For ‘The Masked Singer’?

Eagle-eyed viewers may have spotted a familiar face on ITV’s hit show ‘The Masked Singer’ in late December. We’re definitely not at liberty to unmask ‘Rat’, but we can certainly give a broad hint about the identity of Rat’s company vehicle!

Filmed in London during warmer times, we had a full-on day filming with the production team… and you can catch up on ITVX if you missed it …

Might be the only time we’re happy to see a Rat near our Citroen HY van!

Taking Pride In Serving The Lionesses…

Cafe Allez! were beyond proud to be responsible for barista coffees for the Lionesses prior to, and after, their recent match against Belgium at the King Power Stadium, Leicester.

We’ve found with many elite athletes that great coffee is a vital part of their day and for the Lionesses, including their crucial support team, fine coffee really matters. So we were stationed at the team’s hotel on match day to serve the squad, then at the FA’s impressive facility at St George’s Park the next day to aid recovery and relaxation.

Without a shadow of a doubt, a highlight of our season…

Cafe Allez! … caffeinating RBW Classic Electric Sport Cars

Last week we caffeinated the new factory launch for RBW Classic Electric Sport Cars, in Lichfield.

We were so proud to do so as RBW are a British, family firm, doing things 100% properly and with passion.

They’re producing brand new (not restored!) cars with the stunning classic MGB Roadster (and soon, coupe GT) looks, but with the very latest powerful, zero emissions electric power. You can’t improve on the looks of the MGB, but you can definitely improve the suspension, interior and finish. RBW have achieved all this and more.

They’ve partnered with Continental Engineering Services (also based in the West Midlands) to make it happen and the results are absolutely stunning!
There was a high turnout at the new factory launch including many international visitors. We predict a very bright future for RBW… and you can check out the very positive reviews of the car from the likes of James May and Jonny Smith on YouTube…

Building Site To Ultimate Networking Space In 1 Hour!

We’ve been on the road a LOT recently… we’re now taking a breath, so it’s nice to reflect on some recent projects.

… Including last week, an agency launch day for some forthcoming new distribution buildings at the very impressive Magna Park, Lutterworth. It was great to partner with our friends at GLP again.

This is what we love doing: working with Momentus Consulting Group, we can transform, literally, a building site, into a buzzing networking space with the best coffee for miles around, in no time! No need for power, no need for water, we’ll take care of it all.

Get in touch if you’d like us to work the same magic with your business…

Watch Mark’s Interview On ‘Making Video Your Business’ …

I (Mark) really enjoyed my interview with Chris England from PVS Media.

You can see our episode of ‘Making Video Your Business’ now on YouTube (see link below).

We chat candidly about the importance of video content for marketing a small business, with Chris sharing his insights and me talking a little about how we approach this, with examples from when we had a ‘bricks and mortar’ coffee shop.

There are also a few candid insights about the Cafe Allez! story.

Hope you enjoy it!
