Hands up, who’s tried a chai latte or tea before? Being open: until very recently, we hadn’t!
But then we remembered: a) “embrace change” and b) you should try everything once except for two things, one of which we can’t mention here.
So when we learned about Henny & Joe’s masala chai infusion, the care they take to produce it (in Bath) and the taste awards they’ve won, we thought we’d taste it.
Mark tried it as a latte (so: made with steamed milk but no coffee) and instantly fell in love: it’s slightly sweet but with warming and therapeutic spices cutting through to deliver an exotic taste of India. Claire prefers it as a tea (hot water only). Either way, a delicious drink – a ‘hug in a cup’.
The choice is yours, but do try it when you see us next and give us your feedback! And you can do so guilt-free: Compared to the 25 teaspoons of granulated sugar in a Costa chai latte, Henny & Joe’s use half a teaspoon of brown, unrefined sugar … 33 calories a cup! The ingredients are entirely natural (and vegan).
We’re really proud to be ranging this too as Henny & Joe’s are pretty selective on who they work with… you can find out more at https://hennyandjoes.co.uk/
