Our 2020-21 Festive Menu has launched at Cafe Allez! Belvoir Castle. Come and try something new and delicious – you can order online if you prefer to ‘click and collect’, or order in safety outdoors at the counter. All of the following are of course subject to availability.
DRINKS:
Did we mention we offer 640 varieties of hot chocolates? All made with freshly steamed whole milk, oat milk or soya milk and of course, you can add cream, marshmallows, or a syrup of your choice. Our Amaretto hot chocolates are flying at present.
On the coffee side, our pumpkin spice lattes launched for Halloween and have been so popular that we’ll continue to offer them. We now offer a sugar-free caramel coffee or hot chocolate as well.
CAKES:
This year we’ve developed our very own Christmas Cake. It’s delicious but definitely not one for our tea-total customers. Instead, you may prefer one of our cheeky Rudolph Cupcakes. We’ve already told you about our incredible new Mincemeat & Frangipane Tart (with a generous dollop of brandy butter on every slice). And the Cherry & Almond Stollen was so popular last year that it’s made a welcome comeback. As if that wasn’t enough we offer indulgent Christmas Tree Brownies.
LUNCH (12pm-3pm):
Our homemade Soup Of The Day is warming, tasty and always vegan. It comes as standard with Bloomsbury Sourdough on the side but for a meagre £1 extra you can team it with half of the baguette of your choice.
Talking of which, we continue to offer our Jambon Buerre (ham & salted butter) baguette with optional cornichon pickles and mustard and our Red Leicester baguette with Tracklement’s onion marmalade and rocket. For the season, try our new Turkey with cranberry sauce, stuffing & rocket. And you must try our Mushroom & Walnut Pate baguette with cranberry sauce and rocket. Elise and Claire developed the pate recipe and it’s a proper taste of Christmas, suitable for all (including vegans).
