in the heart of the Vale of Belvoir
You’ll find us at the top of the main visitor car park for Belvoir Castle, which is in the heart of the Vale of Belvoir, between Nottingham and Grantham. Parking is plentiful and free for your first hour.
‘Belvoir’ (pronounced ‘Beaver’ around here) translates as ‘beautiful view’ and that is exactly what we offer you, either from our breakfast bar (the best seats in the house!) or from our extensive outdoor seating. From our elevated position you can see down into the Vale and out to the surrounding villages, Nottingham and beyond.
We're a coffee shop, proudly serving coffee roasted by 200 Degrees, the renowned Nottingham roaster who we’ve partnered with from day one. You’ll also find decaf coffee sourced from Cherizena, the coffee and tea merchants based across the road at The Engine Yard retail village along with a range of speciality teas – and the best hot chocolate around!
We have forged a reputation for keeping customers and team members safe during the pandemic. This can begin even before your visit as you can opt to ‘click and collect’ via Good Eats. We’ve been proud to hold a 5 star FSA ‘Scores on the Doors’ food hygiene accreditation since we opened. Further, we are certified with Visit England’s ‘We’re Good To Go’ pandemic safety scheme and also the World Travel & Tourism Council ‘Safe Travels’ scheme.
There’s no face to face contact with our staff; we actively encourage contactless payment (including all major credit cards, Apple Pay and Android Pay) and if you prefer to order in person, you’ll be safely doing so outdoors with socially distanced queueing.
Hand sanitisers are freely available for your use.
We’re at the top of the main visitor car park for Belvoir Castle and parking (for bikes and cars alike) is plentiful and free. We’re between Grantham, Nottingham and Melton Mowbray. Set your sat nav to NG32 1PE.
Whether you live on the doorstep or are visiting the Castle from further afield, we welcome you! If you haven’t yet visited Belvoir Castle, we highly recommend doing so while you are here and you can find out more about the Castle and its opening schedule here. And do take the opportunity to visit The Engine Yard retail village across the road: open 7 days with a fabulous selection of independent retailers including a garden centre, an excellent butchers shop, a spa, a coffee and tea merchant and a superb delicatessen.
